The vocals and the music are great, but if you buy this cd, which i highly reccomend doing, READ THE LYRICS! I have had this cd for one day and it has already had a huge impact on me,The lyrics to repressed face the harsh reality of what is going on with the american dream. this is the best cd i own, and i'm proud to say that zao is offically my favorite band. i have not heard their new cd yet but i cannot wait until i have enough money to buy it. ZAO ROCKS!!     Customer Reviews for The Splinter Shards The Birth Of Separation Cd      Old-skool geek core at its best.      Rating:      Try and pictures yourself at cornerstone festival in 1998. its rather small, undeveloped, and up comes this band, all with slicked back hair, buttoned up shirts, and baggy pants. This is a grunge band, right? nope. Allthough a bit undefined and considerably undeveloped, this album contains alot of passion, and is even somewhat musically advanced for its time.
