What you're getting here is a good Rock album. My favorites are Crystal Clear and Sophia - they're both melancholic rock songs which fits me to a T. :)     Customer Reviews for Conscious Consumer Cd      Surprisingly Good      Rating:      I'm giving this album 5 stars to balance out the previous horrible review. Otherwise, it would be a very strong 3. The wit and humor of the band's seminal work is unfortunately mostly missing here, but their focus remains tight. Musically, it is very reminiscent of singer Poly Styrene's under-appreciated solo work in the 80s. It's not just punk rock guitar slashing and it does a very good job of servicing her vocals. Fans of X-Ray Specks are a different breed of punk fans, and I think most will find this to be an interesting album.
