Reviews Customer Reviews for General Patton Vs The X Ecutioners Salute the General Rating: F*%#ing Awsome album as usual Mike Patton dosn't fail to impress with this releas some realy great songs and some great sampling and scratching from the Xecutioner gang. A lot of good break beat stuff the only complaint is that the tracks are not long enough!!! we could use some extended remixes from this album. would have to rate highly for Pattons side project stuff
Customer Reviews for General Patton Vs The X Ecutioners Cd Read Deathday by Eugene Bruce while you listen! Rating: Yeah that's what i'd do - listen to Patton losing his genius marbles once again and while that's going on read DEATHDAY BY EUGENE BRUCE (No. 23 in the list if you type my name in)while you're doing so! Cheers - I love you America!
Editorial Reviews for General Patton Vs The X Ecutioners Audio Cd Amazon.com You get the feeling Mike Patton did his time with major label bands like Faith No More and Mr. Bungle merely as a way to fund the stuff he's really into. He's got a solo project called Peeping Tom that includes collaborations with Massive Attack and Amon Tobin; the fourth album from his experimental instrumental outfit, Fantomas; and guest spots on Björk's Medulla and Handsome Boy Modeling School's White People. At the front of the pack is this collaboration with Oakland, California turntable crew the X-ecutioners. Using the group's punctuated scratches and samples as raw material, Patton builds a symphony of cut-and-paste chaos over which he applies his trademark shrieks and growls. It's clearly not for everyone, but those who found Jay-Z and Linkin Park's Collision Course a little too sterile will definitely find something to gape over. -- Aidin Vaziri
