Reviews Customer Reviews for Rock Music A Tribute To Weezer Not a good tribute... but there is something in there! Rating: I like a tribute album to transform the songs, I like when the band redo a song with their sound, imagining it as if it was one of their song. Not to just play the song a the original one.In that sense, this album is not a good tribute. No one else, Surwax america and some others songs just sound the same as Weezer did them. But some songs are impressive. The Good life by the impossibles is excellent, the way they sing the chorus the hard drums and the way the guitar solo erupt are amazing. Jamie by dashboard confessional is quiet good too, beeing more emotional. The World has turned and left me here is really slow, maybe a little too much, but the piano is good. Just like the piano intro on Say it ain't so. Only in dreams is very different but makes a good cover, as for My name si jonas wich is more hardcore. Overall, I would call this tribute an underground tribute to weezer. But their is some interesting stuff. I recommend it to all hardcore weezer fans.
Customer Reviews for Rock Music A Tribute To Weezer Cd hmm yes. Rating: this cd is great. first off, dont judge this cd based on your love for weezer..judge on how good it is...the covers are great, they maintain the core of weezer, but each of the bands add in their own style...now i'm a fan of 'hardcore' music...so i love the covers by Glasseater and Affinity....so yeah, if your looking for something new, something to keep your weezer fix in check...pick this one up, give it a listen...give it a shot....
k bye.
