Reviews Customer Reviews for Fisherman S Blues If you're a fan of good music then you should definately consider adding this to the ole collection Rating: This edition of Fishermans Blues was and is a lot of fun to listen to. From the title track to their cover of Dylans Girl of the North Country on the bonus disc, i've found this album a lot of fun to have and enjoy. I'd recommend this cd to just about anybody that's a fan of good music. Strange Boat, We will not be lovers, Sweet Thing, and Nobody 'Cept you are all good ones! I only wish that the short 30 to 50 second versions of "This land is your land" and "The Good Ship Sirius" were full length.
Customer Reviews for Fisherman S Blues Cd went to the well one too many times Rating: the original is much better, as the extra cd features leftover songs that were rightfully left out.
Editorial Reviews for Fisherman S Blues Audio Cd Album Description The Waterboys were formed in London in 1981 and led by the singer/songwriter Mike Scott, the group's only constant member - with the supporting musicians ever changing around him. 1988's Fisherman's Blues is the Waterboys's 4th album for which the band were joined by traditional Irish players like fiddler Steve Wickham, drummer Dave Ruffy, keyboardist Guy Chambers and bassist Marco Weissman, resulting in a stripped-down, folky sound which was a marked step away from the "big music" he founded and pursued in previous albums. It has been called their 'warmest and most rewarding record'. Complete with a bonus disc of previously unreleased tracks and packaged in a digipack with pvc slipcase - it follows on from the successful re-issues of the first 3 Waterboys's albums 'The Waterboys', 'A Pagan Place' and 'This Is The Sea'.
