Reviews Customer Reviews for Headspace amazing Rating: this is seriously one of the greatest albums i've heard. its sad the band broke up, but the one cd they left is definitely a legacy. great album that isn't just a blare, it has melodies, good beats, and zo is an amazing singer. i always look for voice originality, and he definitely is one of a kind.
Customer Reviews for Headspace Cd Steps above the Chevelles, Papa Roaches, and Taproots of yester-year Rating: I first saw these guys open for Taproot several years ago, and they easily stole the show that night. Sadly, I'll probably never get to see them perform together again as they're now defunct. However, I am here to say that "Headspace" is worth your time and money if you've got a slightly prog itch that needs scratching.
Odd time signatures, political and social oriented song lyrics, and plenty of guitar trickery via delay/tapping leads all adds up to an impressive debut effort. Sadly, this kind of music doesn't sell tickets anymore, so Pulse Ultra's talent has easily faded into the shadows created by the new psuedo-punk plague now diseasing the music industry.
Fans of acts like "The Receiving End of Sirens" who also were into the nu-metal scene back in '02 will have an appreciation for this album, most likely. Give "Slip in Sin" "Never the Culprit" or "Despot" a listen, then make the call and get this album. If you're paying $4 for it, you're getting a hell of a deal.
