Reviews Customer Reviews for Hermit Of Mink Hollow      Todd's multifaceted talent shines      Rating:      I pulled this CD out after not listening to it in a while...and could really appreciate on a different level his skill and talent...playing all instruments, singing all the layered gorgeous harmonies... As some other reviewers have commented, I agree that this is a very melancholy album. Melodic, powerful, and deeply emotional. I had set this aside for so long because when first with the vinyl album, I would play the thing to death, teary eyed in the throes of whatever twenty something angst I was going through. Very real painful time in my life and this album was something that helped me...singing along was healing and crying along was healing. So, this huge piece of TR's heart and soul can be appreciated on so many levels. You can gaze at Todd's gorgeous blueish photo, sing along with all the songs, play it through your ipod and listen to all the parts, laughingly share Onomatopoeia with some kids, or cry in your Pinot...it's all there. A Classic Album!      Rating:      I guess this isn't an actual review of this excellent CD, more like a commentary. All the other reviews pretty much sum it up (except for one whose author wastes my time just trying to come up with alternate names for the title). Anyway, this CD has a special place in my heart as I owned the vinyl LP years ago and listened to it constantly when I was going through a tough breakup. I've never found a better "breakup" album. It was like a good friend, holding my hand and saying to me "I understand". All these years later, I still love this CD- every song on it is good, and each one unique. Definently my favorite Todd offering.
