Reviews Customer Reviews for Live At The Paramount EXTRA TRACKS LIVE ORIGINAL RECORDING REMASTERED I Was There.... Rating:
I saw this CD at the local store & the long unremembered fact that when I was in high school I went to this show came back to me. A bunch of us went as sort of a lark-none of us were particular Guess Who fans but the tickets were given out free. The rumour was they just wanted to record a live album.
The cd itself is great-the recording quality is excellent & its just a lot of fun. The Paramount was (& still is) a great place for shows.
As the only live concert album I'm on, it has a special place in my heart & collection.
Customer Reviews for Live At The Paramount EXTRA TRACKS LIVE ORIGINAL RECORDING REMASTERED Cd The Guess Who Rating: This record now on Cd fomat was one of the first rock records I bought. My thinking was if they had a live album chances were that their studio recordings would be equally great. I lived in a town that got only one or two shows a year. So recored buying was a must for this music buff.
The Guess who lived up to anything and everything I herd about them. Live at the Paramont features Songs like American Woman, No Time & These Eyes. plus some great bonus tracks not on the original long play release.
Fact is there is not one bad song on this Cd release. The sound is clear and rings with great presents.
My bet is if you sit back put your headphones on and close your eyes. If you ever saw this band it will take you back to a special time when concerts were nothing short of fantastic. Burt Cummings voice is clear and present as is the fabulous guitar work of Randy Bachman who would go on to form Bachman,Turner Overdrive.
If you are new to the Guess who this would be a great introduction Cd to add to your collection. It sounds great and was for me a real treat.
Cheers Richard Glenn
