Reviews Customer Reviews for Exile On Main St      greatest american blues album by a non-american, non-blues band      Rating:      This is, simply, the greatest Stones album and one of the greatest complete albums of all time, period. One can draw a direct line from Robert Johnson to the Stones with no apologies. It takes several listens to fully appreciate the absolute genius but is well worth the time. I bought my first copy around 1980 on the recommendation of a friend who swore if I didn't like it, he'd buy it back from me. At first I was not impressed and almost took him up on the offer but over time I came to understand what he saw in it and now without question list this as my all time favorite album. Boy, am I glad I kept it. This is NOT a rock and roll album, it is a pure blues album. Personally I physically cannot sit still while listening to Ventilator Blues. The herky-Jerky feel and anticipation of the dropped snare shots is classic delta. Buy this album, you will not be disappointed.     Customer Reviews for Exile On Main St Cd      Hey old people! Listen to some awesome music like 50 Cent, Soulja Boy, Carrie Underwood or Green Day instead. You know why this band sucks? Besides every song sounding the same, they never got any MTV or BET airplay. What gives?!
