This CD is a collection of classic repertoire performed by the original French Saxophonist Marcel Mule. I will keep this review brief because there isn't much that can be said about it that hasen't been said already. I will say that this CD is strictly a learning aid, and not something a saxophonist would listen to casually as they would with a McAllister or Delangle CD. However, the style of performance and quality of the recording gives it a charm that cannot be matched by any modern recording. While it is fun to listen to all of the new literature coming out for saxophone today, saxophonists would be remiss to discount the music of the core repertoire.
