Together, the compilations give you much more than the single-disc versions out there -- a sort of greatest hits plus album tracks. This collection is just as perfect as the first volume. I never ever ever tire of listening to this or the first volume. This will definitely cause you to want more and more of The Smiths. There's just not a single bad song, and every song is absolutely perfect. There's no way to tell you the highlights -- it's ALL fantastic.     Customer Reviews for The Best Of The Smiths Vol 2 Cd      Half a collection.      Rating:      The Smiths are an amazing band, these are incredible songs, and this is a decent collection. I had this disc once and always felt I was missing something, and that was "Volume 1". These 14 songs are wonderful again, but if you don't get this with "Volume 1", skip it. For one-stop shopping, I might suggest "Singles", which is 18 tracks on one disc, and more bang for your buck. If price is no factor, go for the remastered import "Very Best Of" which is 23 tracks long. I'd even recommend the 24 track "Louder Than Bombs", though that's missing a few essential songs. Obviously you have many choices, but only 14 Smiths songs is not a good one.
