Reviews Customer Reviews for Haunted      great old-metal      Rating:      great slow-paced metal. anyone that likes chris barnes will like this album. if you like old stuff, this is for you. this is like a pre-cannibal corpse band     Customer Reviews for Haunted Cd      My first death metal album!      Rating:      This album was my first death metal album; I found it after whining to some friends that I was getting bored with "regular" metal like Metallica and Pantera. They were like, OK, try this! WOW it was definitely an eye opener. I had never heard someone write a song about ripping out someone's entrails bare-handed. I know now that there is lots of other death metal out there, some of it better than this, but I still like this album a lot. I really like that Chris Barnes did not take the predictable "we love satan" gimmick. To me that's a cheap cop-out. Every other band out there pretends to love satan. I know it's just music, not serious preaching, but still, I don't particularly like hearing satanic stuff, that's what prevented me from buying Slayer's new one "Christ Illusion." Anyway, I bought all of Six Feet Under's albums, and I'll tell you it's great bill-paying music.. when you want to rip someone's head off, writing all those checks, might as well have music going that describes it!
