His patented mix of ragga/dancehall, hip-hop, and R&B made his songs "Mr. Lover Lover" and "Boombastic" into global hits. Hotshot Ultramix features snappy remixes of tracks from the multiplatinum release Hotshot by several leading mixmasters, including Sting International, J.C. Moreno, Punch, Gordon Dukes, Christopher "Longman Productions" Birch, and Tony "CD" Kelly. "Special Request (Rough Cut)" swings with boom-box beats that would be at home in Kingston and Queens.
