Reviews Customer Reviews for Song For All Seasons      Spectacular Work of Art      Rating:      I recently read a new book on Sustainable Development Sustainable Development Possible with Creative System Engineering and it referenced this Album (sorry CD). I haven't heard it in a while and I put in the CD. Oh my God! It is as great today as the first time I heard it 1978. I know why the author referenced this work in the book. A must-have!      Rating:      End of the 70s, I was still involved in the magic of the early Yes, E.L.P., Queen, discovered Journey with Steve Perry, wondering what would Genesis be without Peter Gabriel, starting to dig in Punk Rock, wondering if that weird Disco fever would kill 'serious' Rock music... Then I had the chance to listen Renaissance for the first time and discovered that female voices could be able to perform Prog-Rock with lots of stamina! I got lately this album on a German edition CD, the sound quality is awesome (I heard also the Wounded Bird reissue, it has been nicely reissued, the sound quality is surely very good!) Annie Haslam has a strong but at the same time, very mellow voice. The songs included in this album are all of them really beautiful. If you ever heard Renaissance, go straight to "Back Home Once Again" and "Northern Lights". But, be sure that later you will like to listen the whole album... And then you'll reassure yourself that back in the 70s, Rock masterworks were really ROCK MASTERWORKS!
