Reviews Customer Reviews for Phish Live In Brooklyn      Raging Phish...an incredible DVD !      Rating:      Simply put, 'Live in Brooklyn' is a must-own DVD for all true Phish fans. It is a blessing - this captures what may very well be the best post-Hiatus show that Phish performed, and I've heard most of 'em. The moment they step on stage and kick into "A Song I Heard the Ocean Sing", you can tell they mean business. The two sets are long and confident, and Trey Anastasio's playing is fluid and inspiring. It's almost as if the band walked out on stage and said "Yeah, we know this is our last tour, and we're gonna show you we ARE the best damn band on the planet !!". Why these guys split up is bizarre - nowhere have I heard four musicians in a rock band interact more in sync with each other than in Phish. While so many musicians tried to fuse rock and jazz together consciously and in vain, Phish truly accomplished it without even really trying. Of course, it helps that all four musicians are among the best on their individual instruments, and their jamming is remarkable in its intensity and beauty. There was really no type of music these guys couldn't play. The sound quality and camerawork are outstanding and among the best I've seen and heard for a concert DVD. It's also great that they captured the first night of the Brooklyn stand - I've heard the second night and, while good, it is a shorter and less intense performance. While I consider Trey Anastasio my most favorite guitarist, I still can't forgive him for letting his ego and substance use to help end one of the greatest rock bands of all time. Recent interviews and comments show that Trey may be regretting his decision and wanting to put Phish back together again -- about time and damn straight !! In the meantime, we have 'Live In Brooklyn', both on CD and DVD, and it's a beauty, trust me !     Customer Reviews for Phish Live In Brooklyn Cd      Took forever, I mean forever to get      Rating:      Ordered as a gift for a Phish Fan and took about 9 mo to get. We thought we should name it and claim it as a deduction on our taxes. Great for collectors with patience.
