Reviews Customer Reviews for Live Noise If you can't see them live... Rating: Yes, another Fru-head here. We can't see them live together anymore, and while I also agree that the CD pales in comparison to a live show, it at least gives a good idea what the shows were like. I have this, and all of their CD's signed, and I do listen to this more than the others, for the vibe and energy that emanated from the live performances.
I recommend this CD whole-heartedly, to most anyone, especially to those with a wide and eclectic musical interest.
(oh - 36 concerts within 2 years at one point. I'm one of the Delaware Posse, and the Wrenn involved with the 'Phila House Concert' of June of 2001.)
Perhaps one day, they'll do a reunion concert. I, for one, would travel anywhere for it. Heh. I, for one, would consider financing it. :)
Customer Reviews for Live Noise Cd More great music by a band your friends never heard of! Rating: It's great listening to a live album showcasing musicians who can sing and play and sound even better than the studio recordings. Add in the obvious intelligence and humor they all have and you're listening to a rockin' good time!
Editorial Reviews for Live Noise Audio Cd Amazon.com Taking threads of rock, pop, jazz, swing, cabaret, and Middle Eastern music, Moxy Früvous weave a kaleidoscopic tapestry of sounds with lustrous voices and vibrant melodies. Floating above their diversified choice of instruments--which at times includes congas, accordion, and a tin whistle--are the band's trademark vocals: four mellifluous voices blending in intimate harmony, like a barbershop quartet covering Tom Waits, Bobby Darin, Ravi Shankar, and the Beach Boys at a Beatles convention. Interspersed between the songs are snippets of the band's on-stage banter and frequent interactions with the audience, bringing everything from a Moxy show into your living room except for the overpriced drinks and the idiot next to you who won't stop screaming over and over for the same song. A rich treat. --Katie Sigler
