No commerical song and guitar hooks like their 90's stuff, nor glossy production, or imagey photo ops. Just great heavy rock music, which Metallica were masters of throughout the 80's. I completely lost interest in Metallica after "And Justice For All," and that album was the beginning of the end. But it's great that you can still find this great Garage Days EP, without the cheesey covers such as "Tuesday's Gone," and even the cover of Sabbath's Caddabra is bad on the later, re-configured release with the newer cover songs. Stick to this original collection of Garage Days EP songs and you can't go wrong, they are all excellent, right up there as a whole, with their first three albums. Highlights being "The Wait," "Last Caress/Green Hell," "Helpless," and "Crash Course In Brain Surgery." Buy the original vinyl here if you can, since the ability to buy it on any other format seems to have been discontinued. I also had the poster in my bedroom for several years, of this EP's cover, back in the late 80's and early 90's. I'm a little surprised by the lack of concern by all the hard core Metallica fans (which I'm not) that haven't clamored for copies if this EP, to be more available or released in it's original form again.     Customer Reviews for The 9 98 CD Garage Days Re Revisited Cd      garage days re-re-re-re-re-re-visited...      Rating:      just go buy garage, INC and you will own these five songs plus many more rocking cover tunes. metallica does them better than the original band. last caress/green hell is the best song on here (its actually two songs combined into one). misfits rule!
