Reviews Customer Reviews for Shell Shocked The best emcee out of No limit period! Rating: Standout tracks: EMPIRE, MEMORIES, MURDA MURDA KILL KILL, CALLIN ME, TANK DOGS, SLOW YA ROLL, WE DONT LOVE EM, WHOAA, CAN I BALL(Soulja Slim RIP), MEET ME AT THE HOTEL, PARANOID, BEEF, MONEY GETS, BOSS CHICK etc, Filler: Camoflauge Love is boring as hell but thats it. Bottom Line: Mac was one the dopest emcees from the south. Living proof that the south has great rappers. Unfortunately he gets caught up in the system and is serving hard time. It kills me when such talented rappers like Mac get locked up. The game is filled with fools with deals while lyrical geniuses are locked up for bulls--t. DAMN! Get this album along with his other album WORLD WAR 3. Not a dissapointment.
Customer Reviews for Shell Shocked Cd Great Album Rating: Most people say this is the best of Mac's 2 No Limit Releases before geting sent to prison. Ill have more on that later. The main reason they say that is because his other album WWIII doesnt have the typical No Limit Records sound they are accustomed to. But i disagree, i think WW3 is a better album. But back to this album. A couple of the beats are mediocre but Macs flow and lyrics make up for that. He also comes correct with the content that he spits. Of course like the typical No Limit Release there are a lot of features which in my opinion takes away from the album, Unlike some No Limit Records artist Mac can carry an album by himself, from the hooks to 3 verses on a song. But luckily most of the features come correct....even Master P. To me this album is 4.5...i gave it a 5 because its closer to 5 than a 4.
Mac was sent to Prison for Manslauggter. He got 30 years with a possibilty of parole in 2010. I believe he was innocent, not because hes one of my favorite rappers like some people do. The case they had against him was shotty. The person who did it Confessed but they went on to prosecute him anyway. They never found the murder weapon and had no physical evidence. Even in this day and age with the corrupt 'justice' system, the fact that he was convicted amazes me. I think it was because he is a rapper and No Limit Records was started with dope money. The New Orleans Police, The Dea and the Feds were trying to get Master P for the longest time. On Tru's Tru To The Game they speak on this.
Mac Is currently trying to get an appeal and its looking hopefull after the appeal that was granted to fellow No Limit Records Rapper C-Murder.
