Reviews Customer Reviews for Forever Changes MUST HAVE FOR LOVE FANS Rating: If you purchased the 2001 reissue of this 60's masterpiece and think that one will do fine, forget it! This is what is meant by a "Collector's Edition". The second disc is worth the price of admission alone. The instrumental, unorchestrated versions of some of the original tracks are incredible. Sound quality is top notch and new booklet looks gorgeous.
One minor gripe- the booklet, which includes information up to Arthur Lee's recent death, is thinner than the 2001 booklet. Don't let that prevent you from purshasing this version.
"ALL GOD'S CHILDREN GOT'S TO HAVE THEIR FREEDOM"
Customer Reviews for Forever Changes Cd A classic but not timeless. Rating: This album really defined Arthur Lee's career. Unfortunately, he never could artistically repeat the greatness he achieved on this album. What we have here is another re-issue of "Forever Changes" which essentially is the definitive Love album. From the Spanish influence on "Alone Again Or" to the baroque pop of "You Set The Scene" the album surmised the pop music of the time and made the album so much of its time and not timeless.
The first disc in the 2-disc set contains once again the re-mastered version of the album, which is the same one as the regular re-issue that has been out for some time. Disc 2 has an alternative mix of the album that contains the count-ins and some different vocal takes. Some of the bonus tracks are identical to the single disc re-issue but there is more unissued stuff included.
If you only have the vinyl version of this then this would be a great upgrade but if you have the previous single disc re-issue than stick with that as the extra material may be superfluous. But hey! It's your money.
Editorial Reviews for Forever Changes Audio Cd Product Description The third and final album by the original Love lineup, FOREVER CHANGES regularly draws epic praise.
