Reviews Customer Reviews for No Rules      Great debut album      Rating:      1991's No Rules (which was produced by Slaughter's Dana Strum) was the debut album from Kik Tracee, a latecomer to the hair metal scene. The band had an interesting mix of melodic hard rock and sleaze that sounded like a blend of Enuff Znuff and Guns n' Roses (if you can imagine that). Coming at a time when so many bands were doing their best to sound exactly like Warrant or Poison or Bon Jovi, an album like No Rules really stands out. Sure, it follows a basic hair metal blueprint, and vocalist Stephen Shareaux seems to be doing his best to sound like Axl Rose, but these songs have a lot more character than you might think. Shareaux is like a force of nature, and he brought a unique energy that helped define the band's sound. Overall it's just a fun, quirky rock album that you can't help but enjoy. The band would go on to release just one more album - the excellent Field Trip EP - before calling it quits shortly after its release. Kik Tracee may not have made a big impression on the music scene, but they're still a band that any hair metal/melodic rock fan would do well to check out, especially since both of their releases are still available for a reasonable price.     Customer Reviews for No Rules Cd      Great CD      Rating:      This CD is very underated. I remember the first time I heard "Don't Need Rules" I was blown away it had great riffs and chorus. There are other great songs on this disc like the Paul Simon song "Mrs. Ribinson" and "Your So Strange" If you are at the record store I suggested that you pick this up if you can find it.
