Reviews Customer Reviews for Third Rock From The Sun diffie looking kinda spiffy Rating: for your money it doesn't get any better than when joe diffie sings "pickup man", "third rock from the sun" (the themesong), "junior's in love" (a classic), and the most hillarious song's i've ever heard: "good brown gravy" (with the bass singer echoing the chorus) and "the cows came home" (what a statement). these songs bring back great memories from my senior year of high school which was a fun time. however, i don't think i'll ever be putting good brown gravy in my hair anytime soon!
Customer Reviews for Third Rock From The Sun Cd SO HELP ME JOE Rating: If drugs and booze are objects of addiction, so does joe's voice! This album is worth your money. Go out and get it now. If you listen to the whole album and don't feel good, go see a doctor!
Editorial Reviews for Third Rock From The Sun Audio Cd Amazon.com The one Nashville sub-genre tthat never gets the respect it deserves is the comic-novelty song. From Jimmie Rodgers' "In the Jailhouse Now" to Tracy Lawrence's "It Only Takes One Bar (To Make a Prison)," exaggerated shaggy-dog stories and awful puns have provided country music with some of its finest moments. Joe Diffie, once marketed as a neo-traditionalist heartthrob, has found a new niche as a comic singer on Third Rock from the Sun, and his light, giddy touch with this material proves infectious. The album includes several run-of-the-mill romantic ballads, but it's the funny stuff that makes this recording special. --Geoffrey Himes
