Reviews Customer Reviews for First Conspiracy Its good but its kinda short (3.5 stars) Rating: If you've heard anything else by the INC then you know what to expect, and in all honesty this is about as good as their next two albums except in two important ways:
1. Its pretty short (about 28 minutes).
2. Dennis Lyxzen doesn't quite seem used to the idea that he's fronting a garage band yet, so he does a bit too much Refused-style screaming. Not that most garage rock doesn't have screaming, but not the hardcore, vocal chord destroying, melody-free type of screaming that Mr. Lyxzen is doing here. It doesn't wreck these songs, but considering that the INC usually rides by on a groove, this extreme vocalizing is a bit distracting.
Other than that, its good. Early on it seems they had a pretty good handle on their sound, meaning that if you liked "Survival Sickness" and/or "A New Morning, Changing Weather" you'll know exactly what you're getting here. Only its shorter than those albums... and more screamo-y.
p.s. This comp ends with a track called "Black Mask." Their third album, "Armed Love," starts off with a track called "Black Mask." They are two completely different songs.
Customer Reviews for First Conspiracy Cd a good start for a good band Rating: Like the other two t(i)nc albums,The First Conspiracy is full of good retro style beats and sounds.while sounding more along the lines of the beatles, the doors, and the sex pistols mixed into one(this is refernce to their unique sound rather than anything else)than their others records its still keeps a union with 'survival sickness' and 'a new morning'that can't be beat.No song in particular drags since they all have exciting moments in them ('young pretenders army' and 'black mask' come to mind) that will keep it in heavy play for a good while.honestly one of the best indie records, period.
