Customer Reviews for On Our Worst Behavior Cd 3 1/2 stars -- on their BEST behavior Rating: Yes...Immature (they will never be IMX to me)is sorely underrated in discussion of bonafide '90s R&B groups. Probably the best indication of this was on their debut album released at the tailend of new jack swing. Maybe the waning acceptance of the genre sunk the album, which was a shame because this is a pretty good nostalgic record. Though uneven, the pubescent trio (Batman, Romeo, Half-Pint) turned out some pretty impressive tracks, balancing traditional dance numbers with sappy ballads. I will admit -- when I first heard the record, it took me a while to overcome Marques Houston's shreeching high notes. But, it's refreshing nonetheless, given how today's singers barely register in your ears.
With the album itself, there isn't a dud track. The only subpar track is "I Wanna Know U That Way", and its actually not that bad. The rest of the album is very enjoyable, with the alternation of dance and balladry to balance the album quite nicely.
In sum, Immature barely registered their first time out. While their album was good, poor promotion and bad single choices committed their downfall. They would try again two years later to much better results and become industry heavyweights.
