Reviews Customer Reviews for Rumours      An Album to Savor...      Rating:      over and over again. Some things just get better with age and Fleetwood Mac's 'Rumours' is one of them. Some of the songs are haunting, some upbeat, but every one on this CD is superb. Fleetwood Mac has that special combination of ingredients that made for solid gold. I hate to say that the day of great music like this has come and gone, but where has music like this gone? Get this CD, relax, and kick back and remember or discover for the first time what real music is. This is a classic for the ages!     Customer Reviews for Rumours Cd      Buy the Delux Version!!!!      Rating:      This is no knock on the album itself. It's a classic even if some of the songs have been played to death beyond the point of becoming cultural cliches or for those who can't help of "Don't Stop" being the adopted theme song for Slick Willy, get over it. Plenty of good songs have been hijacked for lousy promotions. The two Mac albums after Buckingham and Nicks joined are two of the most universally appealing albums ever without being crassly commercial, and in the context of where mainstream pop was when these albums hit the street, these classics were especially welcome. Punk and the new rock bands like the Cars, Van Halen, among others were just beginning to be noticed. The pop stations were playing disco and schmaltzy barph!! THE WARNING IS ON THE RECORDING IS FOR THE POOR RECORDING QUALITY. THE CD REPRODUCTION IS FAINT, MUFFLED, AND VERY LOW RESOLUTION. THIS MIGHT MAKE IT A REAL STINKER IF YOU'RE DOWNLOADING EVEN WITH VOLUME MAXIMIZERS EMPLOYED. SADLY, THIS IS ONE OF THOSE RUSHED TO MARKET STINKERS FROM THE EARLY DAYS OF THE DIGITAL REVOLUTION THAT HAS NOT BEEN SUBSEQUENTLY CORRECTED. EITHER DOWNLOAD THIS FROM A REPUTABLE SERVICE (AMAZON, I-TUNES) OR BUY THE FANCY VERSION. ON A GOOD STEREO, CRANKING UP THE VOLUME ONLY REVEALS HOW FAINT AND WASHED OUT THE RECORDING IS AND THERE ARE SO MANY COOL LITTLE THINGS THAT YOU'D HAVE HEARD ON THE LP THAT ARE GONE!!!
