Reviews Customer Reviews for Elvis      Great Singing      Rating:      Very good album featuring great singing by Elvis Presley. The songs vary from rock to country to pop and are all very catchy. Lots of great musicians worked on this album, including Elvis himself. His song-writing credit on "Love me Tender" is debatable, but he did change "Don't Be Cruel" and "Paralyzed" so much from how they were written that he deserved song-writing credit. Song-writer or not, Elvis was a great singer and arrenger who changed music forever. He didn't "steal" black music, a quick listen of this album and any other album of 1956 shows that Elvis was doing something new and exciting, unlike what had been done before.
