Reviews Customer Reviews for Heaven Heaven Rating: Heaven~ DJ Sammy is a so much better version then that of the orginal made by Brian Adams. I love the vocal skills of the chick that sings this track and the samples and keyboard sounds are great. In fact, one could make the arguement that this track is much better as a dance track then as a cheesy and tacky ballad. This a must have for the dance floor at clubs or private parties. Very much recommended.
Customer Reviews for Heaven Cd Heaven Rating: Useless and completely exhilirating all at once, DJ Sammy's revival of Bryan Adam's "Heaven" is a dance music classic, hands-down. The setup couldn't be any more wacked out- a middle-aged Spanish DJ gets a blonde Dutch chick to belt out a cheesy, big synth-riff, hands-in-the-air dance version of a Canadian rocker's arena ballad from the '80s. Fans of the original more than likely found themselves nauseated, and teenagers were bumping this at all their wannabe rave parties. But there's no denying that "Heaven" was a global phenomenon in 2002. The single stormed club charts all over the world, hit No.1 on the British pop charts, but most impressively broke the Top 10 on the US pop charts. It's notoriously difficult for European dance acts to cross over onto the American pop charts, let alone reach the Top 1o ("Heaven" peaked at No.8), but it only serves as proof of the song's inescapable magic. Years from now, listeners will look back on this slice of trivial Euro-disco cheese and relive the memories from this time. Few songs have the power to do so, and "Heaven" is unquestionably one of them.
