Reviews Customer Reviews for Banba Beautiful and memorable; lyrical and melodious Rating: I bought this CD when it first came out and to this day it remains one of my all-time favorites. Some of the songs are hauntingly beautiful. I love the lead singer's voice.
Customer Reviews for Banba Cd another favorite album from Clannad Rating: after I finished a review of "Anam", I start to write this this is very first album I got (borrowed from my fd) when he played on his player, I can feel how romantic and harmony it is after that, I went to record store, but I have no luck of this (I got Anam), then I keep borrowing this album about 2 months later, I found it, and I got it I like "There for you" and "Struggle", they sound like the early-80's British new-romantic; "I will find you", the sound really matchs the movie "The Last of Mohicans", "Sunset dreams", I've never heard Maire sounds like water flowing; "The gentle place" as the name is, sounds gentle and like flying up to top of mountain if you're collecting Clannad's album, Anam and Banba must be collected
Editorial Reviews for Banba Audio Cd Amazon.com Though not their best effort, this 1994 release from Clannad is very good. It has a strong pop orientation, tinged with the Celtic influences that have always been a hallmark of Clannad's music. Those songs where these influences are strongest are also the strongest songs on the album; "Caide Sin Do'n Te Sin" is especially memorable, and "Na Laethe Bi" and "Banba Oir" are strong efforts as well. Of the more pop-flavored material, "Sunset Dreams" and "The Other Side" are probably the best. Banba also features "I Will Find You", which Clannad recorded for the 1992 film version of "Last of the Mohicans". --Genevieve Williams
