My favorite Kool G album (w/ out Polo)

After becoming more than obsessed with Kool G Rap and DJ Polo, I decided to go for his solo albums, and I'm glad I did. They aren't on the same classic level as Road To The Riches, Wanted: Dead Or Alive, and Live And Let Die, but they're still really good. 4,5,6 is considered his best solo album, but for me, Roots Of Evil is. There's a few filler tracks, but the prime one's more than make up for them. After this album, he started to slip a little bit.
If you think these lyrics aren't on the same level as his earlier albums, then you clearly don't undersatand the craft of lyricism. Quality wise, these actually might be some of his best. Just listen to the lyrics in "Foul Cats" (especially the end)"One Dark Night" "Mobsta's" and finally "A Thug's Love Story." "A Thug's Love Story" is a 8 and a half min. story. I would love to see anyone try to flip a tale like that, and remain strong for that long.
The beats on here are great as well. The beat for "Mobsta's" is probably my favorite on here.
If you're a fan of ANY Kool G - GET THIS ALBUM IMMEDIATELY. That's all I gotta say. You may not like it as much as me, but I gaurantee you won't be dissapointed.

"G-Rap" kills!

This album is so real, it hurts to hear it. Make sure you listen to this last because it will cast a shadow over all your CD's.
