Reviews Customer Reviews for One Love The least spectacular effort from the boy band 'Blue' Rating: First of all, it's hard to believe that the men truly believe in 'ONE love'. In interviews they have been known to say such things as: "Life isn't worth living if you haven't two-timed a girl..." and Lee Ryan has admitted to bedding hundreds of women and getting his mother involved to help him escape from them if they got too clingy. So to me, this contradicts everything they say in that song, and all the love ballads.
If you liked Blue's first album 'All Rise' - don't expect the same. There's hardly any pop sounds here apart from perhaps the best songs on the whole album 'Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word', 'Flexin' and 'Right Here Waiting. If you're into smooth, mellow rnb tracks mixed with dance beats in the background, songs that rely on constant rhyming, then you'll love this. Unfortunately that's not my scene and I was thoroughly disappointed with this cd. In fact, the music is comparable to Australian artist Guy Sebastian who released a wonderful first album filled with his truly good sounds of catchy pop, and then for his second release, he went to rnb, and it just wasn't the same. Although musicians are allowed to go down different paths in their songs, it seems a lot better and less confusing to the fans when they pick a genre and stick to it. For Blue - it was pop. And now the pop has gone and rnb has taken over. However, in their very last album 'Guilty' they go back to their pop roots all over again. 'Guilty' is a very creative and interesting cd, so that is recommended highly. This? Be cautious; listen to the tracks on the internet or borrow the cd from a friend before purchasing cause you might regret it. Plus, Duncan's voice ruins the album, it's too low and grating on the ears, whereas Lee Ryan makes some of the songs worth listening to.
Customer Reviews for One Love Cd Best Rating: This is honestly one of the best albums I ever bought. I really loved all three albums they released, every single track, but this is my favorite album. I have just about worn it out, so I'm ordering a new one.
The vocals on this album are beautiful, and the fun spirit of the songs combined with solid beats is just a total winning package.
