Reviews Customer Reviews for Fairy Light Nights Live Acoustic Ditto To Robert's Review Rating: It's like AAE never went away. Julianne's voice is still perfect. After the disappointing Mice project, it's nice to hear her stretching her voice over some delicate tunes again. Classics like Shelter and Martha's Harbour sound like they've never aged a day. Timeless music doesn't age. I agree with the about review by Robert that more material from the last 2 CDs would have been nice (Touched by Jesus, Outshine). Hopefully Volume 2 will remedy that. Don't worry if you're the type that 'doesnt like live CDs', audience noise is at a minimum. Great quality.
Customer Reviews for Fairy Light Nights Live Acoustic Cd Absolutely gorgeous Rating: This disc is an absolute must for fans of AAE, Marty Willson-Piper, The Church, or those interested in a first taste of what AAE is all about. This accoustic disc (the first in a volume of two, the second said to be an electric set)recorded during AAE's 1999 reunion tour nicely covers the groups early 80's material(Martha's Harbour) to two of guitarist Marty Willson-Piper's solo tracks(sung here by Julianne Reagan). My only complaint is that the disc isn't longer than it is but it whets the appetite for more of AAE's future projects and product. A couple more tracks from the long out-of-print "Ultraviolet" and "Touched By Jesus" albums would have been nice as well but perhaps Volume Two will cover that later era of the band.
